Shewin seminar held in Palakkad on 29th September 2011
"If you teach a man, you teach an individual, if you educate a woman, you educate the whole family."
Although the constitution of India has granted both men and women equal rights, gender disparity still remains. Discrimination against women has contributed to gender wage differentials, with Indian women on average earning 64% of what their male counterparts earn for the same occupation and level of qualification.
SHEwin works to cut down this inequality. With the mission of creating young lady entrepreneurs, Dr. Sheeba Joseph conducted a 1-day seminar in Palakkad. She inspired the ladies with her experiences and pepped them up to come out of their shells and emboldened them to start new ventures. SHEwin extended support to young ladies for establishing start-ups.
