SHEWIN is an organization dedicated to the upliftment of women in the society. It is a network for all women (from young professionals to senior established entrepreneurs). We connect the women in such a way as to facilitate mutual growth.
Our founder Dr. Sheeba Joseph ventured into business as a young girl of 21. Right from the beginning, she wanted to empower women and thus she pioneered SHEWIN. She holds a PHD in entrepreneurship from SAARC international university.
Almost 43% of working-age Indian women are confined to their homes in which 90% of them are very talented but their talents remain hidden because of their confinement. This can even lead to pessimism and depression. If these women come out and become productive, we would see a drastic change in Indian economy. SHEWIN would like to help these deprived women to come out of their shells.
Though women entrepreneurship has come a long way since its inception in the 1970s, still in India, women entrepreneurs constitute only 10% of the total number of entrepreneurs in the country.
For women, SHEWIN is a platform to exhibit their talents which in turn would help them realize their potential and worth. We want women to flourish in their lives by contributing to the general benefit of the society.
